ZENDU Consulting Limited was established to realise two long held ambitions both of which had the same end goal in mind, which was to enhance the contribution of professional services in education:

• To run my own business, delivering consultancy and interim assignments.
• To sustain my research interests, which focus on Operational Excellence and Data Strategy in education.

Clients include Glasgow University, University of Bradford, Hobsons PLC, Brunel University, London and the University of East London.

I have held senior operations, project and programme management roles for over 20 years with a particular focus on education. I also have private sector, local and central government experience and have worked in the UK, Singapore and New Zealand. The continuous themes visible throughout my career are building great teams and leading organisations through complex change within challenging time, quality and resource constraints.

What’s in a name?

I’ve been asked recently why I chose the name ZENDU® and the water graphic to represent the business. In truth, these were intuitive choices and not the consequence of careful analysis. Zendu is not a “real” word as far as I’m aware, but to my mind, it suggests a calm, purposeful approach and an interest in understanding the true nature of things. The graphic made sense because water is endlessly versatile and always finds the simplest way to reach its destination, which seems to me to be the essence of Operational Excellence.
